In my site I will mostly focus on Sports with some coverage thrown in on Radio and Texas Tech.
I've been in commercial radio since 2001. I am Program Director for News/Talk 790 KFYO in Lubbock. In addition to my numerous, daily programming duities, I also on-air, anchoring midday news updates, and fill-in for our Morning Talk show. I started in commercial radio at SportsRadio 1340 KKAM, in Lubbock, in January 2001. After working my way up the food chain I was promoted to Program Director of KFYO in August 2001. Before joining KKAM I was a DJ and Sportscaster at,
KTXT-FM. At KTXT I performed various duties including being a DJ, Sportscaster (Update Anchor,
Talk-Show Host, and Play-by-Play Announcer), and Producer-Engineer for various KTXT Programs and Sporting Events. At the
end of the 2000 school year I was named Sportscaster of the Year for KTXT.
Also, I've been the studio network engineer for Texas Tech Football and Men's Basketball since Fall 2001.
2004 was incredible year for KFYO as we had market visits from Michael Reagan and G. Gordon Liddy. The picture shown below is of myself (left) and G. Gordon Liddy at Lubbock's historical Cactus Theater.
